The series survived the Year Without a Michael Scott, but for how much longer?

There’s just something about tossing our Sabre/Dunder Mifflin characters away from harsh lighting and confined spaces that brings out the best in the show — sometimes, it’s just amusing to see everyone out of their element, if only for an afternoon. This time, the setting is the Schrute family beet farm, which Andy somehow convinced Dwight to offer up in order to throw a magnificently wrong-headed soiree. While Andy tries to spin the event at first, once he announces that both his father and California are attending, it’s clear he’s just trying to boast about his new promotion.
