Denn um eine Bluejeans zu erschaffen, die jeder modebewussten Frau passt und obendrein eine gute Figur zaubert, vermaßen sie zunächst mehr als 60.000 Frauen. Sie notierten akribisch genau die Maße von Hüfte, Po und Taille und kreierten daraus die Levis Curve ID.

On Wednesday, I confronted a great enemy of mine…jeans at the holy grail of denim aka the Levi’s store in SoHo. Levi’s shut its doors to the public for the private launch of their first Women’s Global launch of Curve ID. The Curve ID seeks to alleviate many of women’s frustrations when it comes to jeans shopping by creating jeans “that focuses on shape rather than size.”

sausage casing??!.. hehehehe.. I think my lower body will look like affi with demi curve, straight leg and of course with dark colour to camouflage a chubby casing like mine

LEGO Announces Collab with Levi’s: Plastic 501s Anyone?

Levis coloured jeans in every colour of the rainbow are at the forefront of this campaign, but they are not alone. The curve they refer too is a play on words of the curve of a rainbow and the curve of a woman! A collection titled Curve is what Levis is promoting, designed by the jeans brand to celebrate the curves of a woman with three different fit jeans based on your body type. The message in this display to me is the ultimate example of taking a trend and making it fit (literally..) your brands image and product, whilst really understanding your consumers needs.

But the fixation started earlier, didn’t it? Via Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, James Dean and Marilyn Monroe in all those black and white films we used to watch on Sunday afternoons, Levi’s were in our collective consciousness from childhood. (And even though James Dean actually wore Lee jeans, we saw them as Levi’s.)
